Box Score The Virginia Wesleyan University men's basketball team (17-7, 12-3 ODAC) was defeated by No. 2 Randolph-Macon College (22-2, 13-2 ODAC) on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 by 68-58.

TJ East lead the Marlins in scoring 18 points, going 4-for-8 from the field, shooting 10-for-12 from the free throw line, and had 10 rebounds. Omari DeVeaux added 13 points, going 4-for-10 from the field, shooting 5-for-9 from the free throw line, had two rebounds, and grabbed one steal. Paul Anderson also tallied 10 points for the Marlins, shooting 4-for-6 from the field, and had four rebounds.

The game started with Randolph-Macon coming out firing going on a quick 9-4 run within the first five minutes of the game. The Marlins responded by going on a 12-9 run within the next minutes to even the score to 16-16 with 10:40 left in the half. The Yellow Jackets put together a 13-0 run to cut the lead to 27-16 with five minutes left in the first half. Both teams continued to trade baskets in the last few minutes with Randolph-Macon holding the lead and ending the first half with a score of 36-27 going into the halftime. 

Virginia Wesleyan started the second half strong, going on a 13-8 run in the first 10 minutes to close the gap and bring the score to a tight 44-40. With 3:19 left on the clock, the Yellow Jackets continued to close the gap with a 16-10 run, cutting the deficit to 10 points and bringing the score to 60-50. In the final minutes, both teams traded baskets, but Randolph-Macon held onto its lead to secure the victory, defeating Virginia Wesleyan 58-68.
