The Virginia Wesleyan University Cross Country team did well in their first meet of the 2025 campaign. The women's cross country team finished fifth, while the men's team finished third in the meet. 

The women's team had two people finished in the top 30. As Ester Zar led the way coming in 13th with a 4k time of 16:09.1 and teammate Abby Peck in 29th with a time of 16:48.9. 

Ella Clingenpeel finished just behind her teammate in 33rd with a time of 16:56.1. Kayla Kozella finished with a time of 18:22.9, Ella Darcy had a time of 19:10.6, and Samantha Lyman recorded a time of 19:23.0. 

The men's team ran well with three members in the top 20. Led by Casey Black in 12th with a time of 21:03.4 in the 6K, next was Jerry Watson in 14th with at time of 21:05.7, and Ryan Koval was 18th with a time of 21:51.8. 

Tyler Johnson finished with a time of 23:28.9 and teammate Matthew Hodge registered a time of 29:16.7.
