The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team (3-2, 1-1 ODAC) dominated Hollins University in ODAC play, winning 7-0.
The Marlins sped through doubles, with 6-1 victories at #1 and #3 and a 6-0 win at the second spot.
Three Marlins made a season debut in the singles lineup.
Chloe Scott and
Grace McGhee cruised past their opponents 6-0, 6-0 at the 5th and 6th singles spots respectively; and
Haley Haydon dominated 6-0, 6-1 at #4.
At the top line of singles,
Tuva Flink won her first set 6-3 over Peja Cruise, and went on to take control in the second with a 6-0 score.
Sarah Reich was next to finish with a 6-0, 6-2 win at #2 against Kristiahn Foster.
Finally,
Mikisha Thomas outlasted her opponent, Charlie Miller, 6-3, 6-4 to wrap up the 7-0 Marlin victory.
The Marlins will begin their spring break campaign as they host Frostburg State University on Wednesday, March 19, at 3:30 p.m.
