Malcolm Velmar has made an impact this season, as he is averaging nine points per game, shooting 36.2 percent from the field, 31.3 percent from beyond the arc, 1.8 rebounds per game with 14 assists, and three steals this season.
VWU had a tough non-conference schedule this season, playing No. 7 Wisconsin-La Crosse and a top 50 program in Keene State for their annual TowneBank Tipoff Tournament. Next week, the Marlins will face rival CNU on the road on Tuesday, Dec. 16, before the Christmas break.
