Box Score The No. 21 Virginia Wesleyan University women's volleyball (22-1, 8-0 ODAC) swept the No. 22 W&L, winning 25-23, 25-18, and 25-10.

Hannah Smith led the offense and tallied 14 kills, with a .310 hitting percentage, one service ace, two assists, one block assist and led the team with 21 digs, Madi Schmitd recorded 10 kills, two aces, and 14 digs.

Breana Brooks had nine kills, with a .316 hitting percentage, two digs, one solo block, and two block assists and teammate Niya Nash led the team with 42 assists, had 16 digs, and one block assists. 

Early in the first set, the Generals held a 3-1 lead, but the Marlins responded with a 6-1 run to take a 7-4 lead. W&L came back and tied the set at 8-8. VWU countered with a 4-1 run to bring the score to 12-9. The Marlins kept up the pressure and went on a 7-3 run to hold a big lead at 19-12. The Generals didn't give up and responded with a big 10-3 run to tie the set at 22-22. The Marlins offense kicked into gear and outscored the visitors 3-1 to win set one 25-23.

The Generals started well in the second set and held a 5-3 lead early. The two teams traded points, until the 12-9 score the Marlins went on a 5-0 run to lead 14-12. The Marlins held a two point lead, until they went on a 4-0 run to take a 20-15 lead. W&L went on a 3-1 run to cut the lead to 21-18. However, the Marlins scored four straight points to win set two 25-18.

In the third set, Virginia Wesleyan dominated  holding an 8-1 lead early. VWU kept up the pressure to force a Generals timeout with the Marlins leading 11-3. The Marlins continued their offensive dominance and outscored the Generals 11-4 to lead 22-7. W&L had a late 3-1 surge to bring the score to 23-10, but the Marlins went on to win the set 25-10 to complete the sweep of W&L.
