Marlins Earn 4-3 Road Victory Over Washington College

The Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis team picked up a hard-fought 4-3 win over Washington College on Saturday afternoon at the Schottland Tennis Center.

Virginia Wesleyan set the tone early, sweeping all three doubles courts to secure the first point of the match. Josh Buckland and Ayaan Choudhary dominated at No. 3 doubles with a 6-1 victory, while the duos of Jed Platts and Sebastien Muller (6-4) and Hovo Madanyan and Tudor Vlad (6-4) both followed with strong wins at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.

In singles play, the Marlins continued their momentum. Muller rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, and Vlad added another point with a commanding 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 2. Choudhary clinched a key match at the top of the lineup, defeating Sihoo Kim 6-2, 7-5.

Despite Washington College taking matches at No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 singles, Virginia Wesleyan's strong start and composure in close sets proved the difference in the 4-3 team victory.
