The Virginia Wesleyan University women's soccer team (0-3-3) lost to Trinity (TX) 1-0.
The first half saw the Tigers putting the pressure on the Marlins as they outshot the host 5-3 with three shots on net. The only goal came in the 11th minute of play for Trinity off a throw-in that got through the box, and their forward was able to one-touch it past the VWU keeper.
The Marlins made halftime adjustments, leading to three shots on goal compared to the Tigers two. However, the Tiger's defense was up to the task and held on to their 1-0 lead.
