The Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer team (0-2-3) ended their game against the Seagulls of Salisbury University in a 0-0 tie.
Freshman goalkeeper,
Allie Greco, started in her first game for the Marlins without letting in a goal.
The Marlins began the game aggressively with two shots on goal less than seven minutes into the game by
Janessa Lowe and
Courtney Mills.
The Seagulls applied more pressure in the second half with three shots on goal. In response, the Marlins increased intensity, registering four corner kicks. Both teams saw multiple opportunities to score but were unable to follow through.
The evenly matched contest between the Marlins and Seagulls ended scoreless.
Allie Greco recorded three saves in her first ever appearance for the Marlins.
