The Virginia Wesleyan University field hockey team (1-1) cruised past Goucher 4-0.
Landry Meyer led the team with three goals, with four shots on goal,
Isabelle Rogers scored one goal on one shot, and Dani Paulsen had an assist.
Berkley Miller recorded the win playing 45 minutes and made two saves in the shutout win over the Gophers.
The start of the game was fought hard with 20 fouls called in the first 15 minutes of the game. Scoreless with over ten minutes played

Isabelle Rogers scored for the Marlins' second goal of the game to take a 2-0 lead in the first quarter.
In a scoreless second quarter, however, the Marlins outshot the Gophers 5-0 and had a 4-2 advantage in penalty corners. VWU held a 2-0 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, Virginia Wesleyan outshot Goucher 4-2 and
Landry Meyer scored a goal to extend the Marlins lead to 3-0.
VWU dominated the fourth quarter outshooting Goucher 10-0.
Landry Meyer scored her third goal in the fourth quarter to seal the 4-0 win.
