The Marlins ended the weekend with a tough 0-9 loss to the 25th ranked Generals of Washington and Lee. Despite the lopsided scores, the team gained experience and preparation for the rest of the season.
This coming weekend will be full of opportunities for the Marlins as they face two conference opponents on back-to-back days. The Marlins hope to build confidence and defeat Hollins University for the 5th straight season. Virginia Wesleyan host Hollins this Friday at Everett Tennis Center.
On Saturday, the team will face the Hornets of Shenandoah University in an away match. Last spring, the Marlins suffered a tough 0-9 loss to the Hornets. With more experience under their belts, the squad is more prepared heading into battle for this conference matchup.
