The Knights scored an unanswered goal to start the contest. The Marlins
Helen Kennedy-Butler scored an unassisted goal followed by a goal from
Natalie Dunn assisted by
Mikayla Szudera to bring the score to 6-2 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Southern Virginia scored the first goal of the quarter followed by a goal from
Mikayla Szudera with an assist from
Shannon DeMarinis. The Knights then scored two goals to end the half to lead 9-3.
Southern Virginia University outscored the Marlins 4-0 in the third to lead 13-3.
The Knights outscored VWU 2-1 in the final quarter to seal the 15-4 win.
