SALEM, Va. -- The Virginia Wesleyan University men's track & field team finished fourth as a team at the ODAC Track & Field Championships hosted by Roanoke College in Salem, Va. Three Marlin student-athletes claimed four individual champion titles in
Geni Roberts,
Terrian Smith, and
Ja'Marri Henderson.
The Marlins showed up well at the 2023 ODAC Championship meet as there were three athletes that won their individual events.
Senior
Geni Roberts became a four-time champion in the long and triple jump at the ODAC Championship. In the long jump, Roberts won with a 7.13m mark while he jumped a distance of 15.05m in the triple jump shattering his old previous best and school record of 14.92m set earlier in the season.
Terrian Smith claimed sole possession of the VWU high jump school record with a mark of 1.96m in the men's high jump finishing first in the event.
Ja'Marri Henderson continued the Marlins success in the men's 60m hurdles, with alumni
Landry Moffo winning the event four consecutive years, winning the event with a time of 8.54.
