Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer fell to the Golden Knights of Clarkson University 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Birdsong Field.

FIRST HALF

• The first half was back and forth with neither team maintaining possession long and both teams taking six shots. 
• Clarkson broke onto the scoreboard first in the 35th minute as a Marlin defender passed the ball back to the keeper who slipped on the slick turf resulting in an own goal by VWU. 

SECOND HALF

• The Marlins came out of the break much more aggressive and with the need to find an equalizing goal. 
• Despite out shooting Clarkson 11-5, Virginia Wesleyan could not manage to even the score and fell 1-0 at the end of regulation.

The Marlins are back in action on Wednesday evening when they host the Royals of Regent University at the Tassos Paphites Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach, VA. Kick-off is set for 6 PM.
