LEXINGTON, Virginia - The No. 2 seeded Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis team defeated the No. 3 seeded Tigers of Hampden-Sydney College 5-1 in the semifinal match of the 2022 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament.

- The Marlins took the early lead in the doubles matches garnering wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
- Henry West and Francis Cabaddu took the first doubles point winning 8-3 in the No. 3 match.
- Mitchell Perry and Felix Bevc claimed the other doubles point with an 8-7 (7-2) win at the No. 1 spot.
- Playing to a decision of five team points per ODAC Championship regulations, the Marlins needed to win three singles matches to clinch the match.
- Tim Tep won the first singles match at the No. 3 spot with a pair of 6-0 sets.
- Felix Bevc won the next singles point with a 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 1 flight.
- Mitchell Perry clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 to send the Marlins to the ODAC Championship match.
