VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The No. 2 seeded Virginia Wesleyan University men's tennis team defeated the No. 7 seeded Maroons of Roanoke College 5-0 in the quarterfinal match of the 2022 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament.

- The Marlins took the early 3-0 lead in the doubles matches garnering wins in all three match ups.
- Henry West and Francis Cabaddu took the first doubles points 8-2 in the No. 3 match.
- Mitchell Perry and Felix Bevc were the second doubles pair to finish with an 8-2 win at the No. 1 spot.
- Tim Tep and Henry West rounded out the doubles matchups with an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
- Playing to a decision of five team points per ODAC Championship regulations, the Marlins needed just two singles points to clinch the match.
- Dheeraj Koritala captured the first singles point at the No. 6 spot, 6-0, 6-0, putting the Marlins ahead 4-0 over the Maroons.
- The final team point for Virginia Wesleyan came from the No. 5 matchup where Sai Challagundla defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-0.

The No. 2 seeded Marlins return to the court on Saturday, May 7, when they travel to No. 1 seeded Washington & Lee University, the host of the semifinal and championship matches of the 2022 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament.
