VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team defeated the Maroons of Roanoke College 8-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Everett Tennis Center in Virginia Beach, VA.

- The Marlins controlled the pace of the match early on winning all three doubles matches, taking a 3-0 team lead into the singles bouts.
- Anna Rogers and Christine Zalameda won at No. 1 by a score of 8-7, while Alexa Brewster and Maya Brown won at No. 2, 8-6.
- Amanda Stegemann and Sophia Bibbo won at No. 3 doubles with a score of 8-4.
- In the singles bouts, Virginia Wesleyan won five matches while Roanoke claimed the remaining match to put the final score at 8-1.
- Brewster only allowed her opponent to win three games while claiming the No. 1 singles match 6-0, 6-3.
- Zalameda recorded a win at No. 2 singles, giving up just two games to win 6-2, 6-0.
- Anna Rogers fought at No. 3 singles in a three set match to claim the point for the Marlins with a 4-6, 6-1, 10-8 score.
- Kristina Abrams fell at No. 4 singles to her opponent 5-7, 7-5, 14-12.
- Kaitlyn Totman, who played in the No. 5 singles spot, gave up four games to win 6-2, 6-2.
- Maya Brown won at No. 6 singles for the final point with a score of 6-2, 6-1.
