VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team fell to the Hornets of Shenandoah University 9-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Everett Tennis Center in Virginia Beach, VA.

- The Hornets controlled the pace of the match early on winning all three doubles matches, taking a 3-0 team lead into the singles bouts.
- Maya Brown and Christine Zalameda fought hard at doubles No.2 but fell 8-7 (9-7).
- In the singles bouts, Shenandoah won all six matches to win the match 9-0.
- After not winning any games in the first set, Alexa Brewster won five in the second set but fell 6-0, 7-5 at the No. 1 spot.
- Zalameda won a combined four games at singles No. 2 but fell 6-3, 6-1.
- Anna Rogers fell at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-0.
- Kristina Abrams won give games but ultimately fell at No. 4 singles to her opponent 6-1, 6-4.
- Kaitlyn Totman, who played in the No. 5 singles spot, fell 6-0, 6-4.
- Maya Brown wrapped up action at No. 6 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 loss.
