ASHLAND, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis team defeated the Yellow Jackets of Randolph-Macon College 9-0 in the regular season finale in Ashland, VA.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
- The Marlins claimed all three doubles matches taking a 3-0 lead into the singles rounds.
- Felix Bevc and Mitchell Perry won at No. 1, while Henry West and Francis Cabaddu won at No. 2 doubles, both by a score of 8-3.
- Sai Challagundla and Dheeraj Koritala won at No. 3 doubles 8-0.
- VWU took all six of the singles matches to claim a victory of 9-0.
- Mitchell Perry won his match at No. 1 singles giving up just three games against his opponent, 6-3, 6-0.
- Francis Cabaddu won at No. 2 claiming a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
- Henry West had a hard fought battle No. 4 singles winning 2-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-8), while Cam Perry win in three sets as well at No. 4, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 1-0 (10-5).
- Dheeraj Koritala played a the No. 5 singles spot and won 6-3, 6-0, giving up three games, while Sai Challagundla won at No. 6 in two sets, 6-0, 6-1.
