BRIDGEWATER, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan men's tennis team defeated the Eagles of Bridgewater College 8-1 in an ODAC contest in Bridgewater, VA.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
- The Marlins claimed all three doubles matches taking a 3-0 lead into the singles rounds.
- Felix Bevc and Mitchell Perry won at No. 1 in a close battle wpulling out a score of 8-6 for the VWU point.
- Timothy Tep and Camden Perry won the No. 2 doubles point 8-3, while Henry West and Francis Cabaddu also won by a score of 8-3 at No. 3.
- VWU took five of the six singles matches to claim a victory of 8-1.
- Mitchell Perry dropped his match at No. 1 singles claiming just two games against his opponent, falling 6-2, 6-0.
- Tim Tep competed at No. 2 and claimed a 6-2, 6-0 win.
- Francis Cabaddu won at No. 3 claiming a 7-5 win in a tightly contested first set and shuting out his opponent in set two, 6-0.
- Henry West gave up just three games to his opponent at No. 4 singles winning 6-2, 6-1, while Sai Challagundla won at No. 5 in two close sets, 6-4, 7-6 (7-0).
- Dheeraj Koritala played a the No. 6 singles spot and gave up just to games to his opponent winning 6-1, 6-1.
