VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan women's tennis team fell to the Hornets from the University of Lynchburg 8-1 in the regular season finale at the Everett Tennis Center

- The Hornets controlled the pace of the match early on winning all three doubles matches heading into the singles bouts.
- Alexa Brewster and Christine Zalameda fought hard but fell to the No. 1 doubles duo from Lynchburg 8-3.
- In the singles bouts, only one Marlin won their matches claiming the single VWU point.
- Zalameda won at No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-0.
