Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team fell to the River Hawks of Susquehanna University 15-8 on Tuesday evening at Birdsong Field in Virginia Beach, VA.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
The River Hawks got on the scoreboard first with a goal two minutes into action. The Marlins responded about four minutes later as Mark Sprague scored to even the score at one all. Susquehanna added a trio of goals to go up 4-1 with five minutes to play in the quarter. Joey Rayman connected with Harlan Menger who scored the Marlins second goal with 4:16 left in the first period.
Susquehanna scored six goals in the second quarter while Virginia Wesleyan scored two. The Marlins goals came form Seth Bearb and Sprague, as the score sat a 10-4 heading into the halftime break.
The River Hawks scored the first goal in the third quarter to go ahead 11-4, but Nathan Sheirburn connected with the back of the net off a pass from Rayman. Another SU goal was scored before Sprague added back-to-back goals pulling the Marlins within five, 12-7. Susquehanna added one more goal with seven seconds left taking a six-goal lead into the finale 15 minutes.
Sprague opened the fourth with a goal 36 seconds into the quarter, the last goal VWU scored in the game. Susquehanna added two more goals to close the game and clai the 15-8 victory.
