Marlins Land Three on All-ODAC Third Team in 2026 Season

The Virginia Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team earned All-ODAC recognition in 2026 after starting the season 9-2 marking the best start to a season in program history. The three Third Team selections are Thomas Lewis IV, Roman Foster, and Ethan Smith.

Thomas Lewis IV led the Marlins' offensive attack with a standout junior campaign, totaling 39 goals and 23 assists for a team-high 62 points. He proved to be a consistent scoring threat, adding seven man-up goals and finishing with a .351 shooting percentage.

Ethan Smith also played a key role in the Marlins' offense, turning in a strong sophomore season with 29 goals and 15 assists for 44 points. His ability to contribute in scoring and playmaking added another dynamic layer to the attack.

Roman Foster anchored the defensive unit with a strong presence all year. The junior defender recorded 40 ground balls and 31 caused turnovers, leading the team in takeaways while consistently matching up against top opposing threats.

As a team, Virginia Wesleyan produced a balanced offensive effort, finishing the season with 258 goals and 157 assists for 415 total points. Multiple players contributed across the lineup, highlighting the depth and versatility of the Marlins' offense.

Defensively, the Marlins collected 207 caused turnovers and 661 ground balls, while controlling possession at the faceoff with a .572 win percentage. The team's all-around performance helped them remain competitive throughout the season.

With a strong core returning and continued growth across the roster, Virginia Wesleyan men's lacrosse looks ahead to building on this momentum in 2027.
