WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina - Jaylyn Lane of Virginia Wesleyan University women's track and field team finished the weekend with an 18th showing at the 2022 Indoor National Championship Meet at the JDL Fast rack in Winston-Salem, NC.
Lane finished 18th in the women's triple jump ending her indoor season. In her first jump of the day, Lane set a mark of 10.74M. She followed with a 10.89M distance for her second jump and had her best jump of the meet of 11.29M in her final jump, unfortunately her distance missed the cut off of 11.75M to move on to the finals.
Lane advanced to the National meet after winning the women's long and triple jump events at the 2022 ODAC Championship meet. Earlier this season, the Portsmouth, VA native set a new VWU program and ODAC Conference record of 11.90M in the trple jump at the 2022 Finn Lincus Invitational Meet.

The Marlins now look ahead to the Outdoor 2022 season which begins next weekend. Virginia Wesleyan will host the 2022 Spring Break Invitational on March 19 with events beginning at 11 AM at the Betty S. Rogers Track & Field Complex in Virginia Beach, VA.
