VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan women's soccer team ended in a 0-0 draw against the hornets from the University of Lynchburg on Wednesday evening at the Tassos Paphites Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach, Va.

FIRST HALF
The teams fought back and forth up and down the field for 45 minutes with neither team finding the back of the goal. Lynchburg had a few good looks including a shot the bounced off the crossbar as the Hornets took nine shots in the opening half. The Marlins got off four shots in the first half while keeper Rachel Quigley made six saves in the opening frame.

SECOND HALF
The Marlins came out of the halftime break more aggressive wanting to find a goal, however, neither team managed to score in the second half despite the Marlins taking 11 shots to the Hornets eight. Quigley made three stops in the second half for the clean sheet. 

KEY STATS

• Shyenne Diaz and Alexis Miller led the team with three shots each while Molly Gobble and Breacain McClenahan added two apiece. 
• Keeper Rachel Quigley (W: 9-2-2, 4-1-1) played all 90 minutes between the pipes making nine saves.
