Men's Soccer draws with No. 10 Washington & Lee

Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team drew against the No. 10 Generals of Washington & Lee University 0-0 on Wednesday evening in Lexington, VA.

FIRST HALF
The Generals held possession of the ball throughout a majority of the first half getting eight shots off with only one coming on goal which VWU keeper Griffin Potter stopped. The Marlins managed to take two shots in the first half neither of which found the back of the net as the teams entered halftime even at zero. 

SECOND HALF
Virginia Wesleyan came out in the second half playing more aggressive soccer as they took five shots, with two on target, however, the Generals keeper stopped the two attempts to keep VWU off the board. WLU peppered the Marlin goal with shots, taking 11 in the second half, seven of which came on goal that Potter again stopped. With neither team finding the back of the net the two squads ended in a 0-0 draw.

UP NEXT
Virginia Wesleyan is back in action on Saturday evening when they return home to the Tassos Paphites Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach, VA to host the Panthers of Ferrum College on Oct. 15. Kick-off between the Panthers and Marlins is set for 5 PM.
