FIRST HALF
- The half of play favored the Knights who managed to score the only goal of the opening 45 minutes.
SECOND HALF
- After coming out of the halftime break, Neumann managed to score a second goal taking a 2-0 advantage with 39 minutes remaining in regulation.
- The Marlins found the back of the net in the 84th minute as Ethan Clark connected with a pass from Juan Tovar to put the score at 2-1.
- With just under three minutes to play, Josh Condit found the game tying goal off a pass from Andrew Glass and forced the match into overtime, the second OT game for the Marlins in as many days.
OVERTIME
- Neither team managed to score in the first ten minute OT period and thus the teams went into a second.
- Virginia Wesleyan's Condit, off a pass from Tovar, again found the back of the net with about two minutes remaining to win the game for the Marlins.
KEY STATS
- The Marlins out shot the Knights 17 to 8.
- Josh Condit and Andrew Glass each tallied three shots in the match.
- Both Clark and Condit collected their first collegiate goals in the match.
