NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's cross country team finished fifth as a whole at the Christopher Newport University Invitational hosted at the Lee Hall Mansion just off of Interstate 64 in Newport News, VA.
INSIDE THE RACE
Colton Spence placed the highest finishing 33rd with a time of 29:48.50 for the 8K race.
James Johnson, who led the Marlins throughout the race, finished 37th overall in a time of 30:06.70, while
Ethan Cravens finished 40th in 30:21.60.
Trey Massey,
Landon Crooks, and
Vijay Lancaster rounded out the Marlins team with finishes of 52nd, 56th, and 61st respectively.

The Marlins return to the course next weekend when they travel up to Winchester, VA, to compete at the Hornet Harrier Invitational hosted by Shenandoah University.
