Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan men's soccer team defeated the Pride of Greensboro College 2-1 in overtime on Sunday afternoon, September 12, on Foster Field in the Trinder Center in Virginia Beach, VA. A game-winning overtime goal by Alex Moody kept the Marlins win streak alive as they are now 4-0.

FIRST HALF
- The Marlins struck first in the match scoring a goal in the 17th minute as Michael Nocera connected with the back of the net.
- Neither team scored again the remainder of the half as VWU went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
SECOND HALF
- About 15 minutes after coming out of the halftime break, Greensboro knotted the score at one goal each.
- Despite numerous shot attempts neither team was able to score the remainder of the second half forcing the teams into overtime.
OVERTIME
- After a brief five minute break, the teams got back at it and not more than two minutes into OT the Marlins found the game-winning goal scored by Alex Moody off the pass from Scott Signorelli.
