VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan Athletic Department is excited for the return of some normalcy as the coaching staffs and teams will again host summer camps for middle and high school students this summer. 

Teams hosting events this summer include Baseball, Men's Basketball, Field Hockey, Men's Lacrosse, Men's & Women's Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball.

Baseball is hosting three camps this summer including two week long camps and a single day prospect camp. The Marlin Baseball week long camps will run Monday-Thursday July 5-8 and July 12-15 from 9am to 12pm each day and are available to boys and girls ages six to 14 while the Marlins Prospect Camp on July 27 is for high school freshman and up. Men's Basketball will host a pair of Blue Marlin Basketball camps on July 12-16 and July 26-30 in the newly renovated TowneBank Arena in the Jane P. Batten Student Center on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan University. Field Hockey has three camps scheduled for this summer with dates of June 29, June 30, and August 2 with the two June camps being hosted at Birdsong Field on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan University. VWU Field Hockey will host the Marlin Field Hockey Camp on June 29 from 8-11 am. On June 30, the Marlins will host the Field Hockey Goalie Camp, also 8am - 11 am, and the last camp, the Goalie Clinic, will be on August 2 at the USA Regional Field Hockey Training Center in Virginia Beach, VA. Men's Lacrosse is currently hosting two lacrosse clinics for both boys and girls ranging in age from 7 to high school. Camp dates are June 28-July 1, and July 26-29, both running Monday thru Thursday. Both camps will take place at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. Men's Soccer will partner with the women's soccer team to host a pair of Summer Sessions on July 5-9 and July 19-23. For registration and more information go to marlin-soccer-academy.com.

Women's Soccer has four summer camps scheduled this summer with the first taking place on June 19 for the Girls ID Camp. Marlins women's soccer will host a pair of Summer Sessions on July 5-9 and July 19-23 with the last scheduled camp on August 7 for another Girls ID Camp. For registration and more information go to marlin-soccer-academy.com.

The 2021 NCAA Division III Softball National Champions will offer six different softball camps this summer ranging in levels of experience and age range. Camp dates include June 21-24 (Mini Marlins Day Camp), July 5 (Future Starts Youth Pitching & Catching Camp and Future Stars Prospect Pitching & Catching Camp), July 19-21 (Marlins Softball Academy Hitting Camp), August 9 (College Dreams Defensive Mini Camp), and August 10-11 (College Dreams Hitting Camp).

Volleyball so far has just one camp planned but more may become available throughout the summer. The 2019 ODAC Volleyball Champs are hosting a College Prep camp on July 17 with more information about this camp available on the Marlin Volleyball Camps website.
