McFarland, Durso, Adair Selected To First Ever ODAC Hall of Fame Class

The ODAC Hall of Fame recognizing the best-of-best throughout the history of one of the best conferences in NCAA Division III. The ODAC Hall of Fame was inaugurated in 2025-26 as part of the celebration of the conference's 50th year of operation.

The first two classes of honorees -- in 2025 and 2026 -- will feature inductees directly selected by ODAC member schools. The first class included 50 members to commemorate the 50th year of ODAC operation since competition begin with the 1976-77 academic year.

Three members of the Virginia Wesleyan University Hall of Fame were selected for the inaugural. Michael Mcfarland, Kelly "Donnelly" Durso, and Brandon Adair. 

Michael McFarland was inducted into the Virginia Wesleyan University Hall of Fame in 2009. Mike McFarland '96 was First-Team All-American in 1990, 1991, and 1992, a first for Virginia Wesleyan in any sport. He was the 1992 NCAA Division III Player of the Year, also a first for the College. A four-time all-region player, Mike is the only four-time honoree in Virginia Wesleyan history. He ranks No. 2 in career goals, No. 1 in assists, No. 2 in points, and No. 1 in shots. The Norfolk Sports Club honored Mike in his senior year.

Kelly "Donnelly" Durso was inducted into the Virginia Wesleyan Hall of Fame in 2014. Kelly Donnelly Durso was a member of the 2006 women's soccer NCAA Final Four and Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) championship team. During her career, she was named first-team All-American in 2006 and third-team All-American in 2005; All-South Region honoree in 2005 and 2006; All-Virginia honoree in 2005 and 2006; All-ODAC honoree 2003-2006; ODAC Rookie of the Year in 2003 and ODAC Player of the Year in 2006. She was also recognized as the Virginia DIII Player of the Year in 2006 and named the CoSIDA Academic All-District Honoree in 2006. Durso is a elementary school principal and lives with her family in Northern Virginia.

Brandon Adair was inducted into the Virginia Wesleyan University Hall of Fame in 2012. Brandon Adair was a member of the 2006 men's basketball National Championship team and the 2007 National runner-up team.  In 2006, he was selected as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III Player of the Year.  He is No. 1 in VWC history in scoring with 2,100 points, field goals made with 871 and rebounds with 871.  During his career, he was named an All-American in 2006 and 2007; NCAA Division III All-Tournament Team in 2006 and 2007; 2006 NCAA Division III Sectional Tournament MVP; NABC South Region Player of the Year in 2006; All-South Region Team in 2005, 2006 and 2007; Virginia College Division Player of Year in 2006 and 2007; Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Player of the Year in 2006; and ODAC Tournament MVP in 2005 and 2006.  Adair's four-year record at VWC was 102-22.  Adair lives in Virginia Beach and is an NBA Official.
