FIRST SET
- The Eagles got off to an early lead in the opening set taking a 7-2 lead.
- Bridgewater opened up a seven-point lead, 12-5, following a 5-3 run.
- Virginia Wesleyan fought back within three points trailing 15-12 after a 7-2 rally.
- A 9-5 rally by Marlins gave the home team a one-point lead 21-20, their first of the set.
- The teams traded points and knotted the score four times at 21, 22, 23, and 24 all before Virginia Wesleyan put back-to-back points on the board to come from behind and win set one 26-24.
SECOND SET
- After playing neck and neck through the beginning serves of set two, the Marlins pulled ahead 18-7 following a 12-0 rally behind great serving form Abigail Mahoney.
- Bridgewater was only able to score four more points the remainder of the set while Virginia Wesleyan scored seven to win 25-11.
THIRD SET
- VWU opened set three with a 6-2 lead through the early services.
- The Eagles knotted the score at six all but a 10-2 run by the Marlins gave VWU a 16-8 lead.
- VWU held a 20-11 lead midway through the set but BC climbed within six points, 23-17, before the Marlins put down the last two points on back to back kills from Kathryn Yeager putting the final score at 25-17.
