Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team dominated the WildCats of Randolph College 27-3 on Monday evening in conference action at Birdsong Field in Virginia Beach, VA.

Randolph got scoring started with the first goal of the game 62 seconds into action before the Marlins came to life and went on a 12-0 run to lead 12-1 heading into the second quarter. Eight players scored at least once with three scoring more than one. Nathan Sheirburn led the way with three goals, while Chris Lindemeyer and Trevor Lalande added two each. Joey Rayman, Sam Edwards, Cole Maguire, Zack Jones, and Mark Sprague all added a goal each to the twelve total.
VWU added eight more goals in the second 15 minute period and went into halftime with a 20-1 advantage. In the first half alone VWU recorded 51 shots with 34 coming on goal. Lalande scored three of the Marlins eight goals while Sheirburn added two. Edwards, Maguire, and Sprague all added one pushing their total for the game to two goals apiece.
The Marlins scaled things back in the the third quarter scoring just three goals while also giving up one. And in the fourth quarter the Marlins added four more goals to put them up 27 to three. Sprague scored two goals in the third and one in the fourth while Maguire was the only other Marlins to score in the third. Sheirburn, Edwards, and Tawes joined Sprague as scorers for VWU in the fourth.
