SALISBURY, Maryland - The Virginia Wesleyan men's and women's track and field teams finished strong at the 2021 Salisbury University Spring Meet hosted by the Sea Gulls in Salisbury, MD.
MEET INFORMATION
The meet was the first outdoor meet for the Marlins of the 2021 season.
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Jaylyn Lane highlighted the day for the Marlins with a first place finish in the 200M dash and a second place result in the 100M, as well as a first place finish in the women's 4x100 with teammates Shirell Washington, Casey Stedman, and Niya Crocker.
Washington, in addition to finishing first in the 4x100, placed seventh in the 200M dash, second in the 110M hurdles, and third in the women's triple jump.
On the men's side, Landry Moffo finished 10th in the 100M dash, third in the 110M hurdles, and fifth in the men's 4x400M relay.
CJ Govan took sixth in the shot put and the hammer throw while also finishing 10th in the discus.
UP NEXT
The Marlins return to action on March 13 for the outdoor season. They will travel to Salisbury, MD to take on the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University.
