Wisconsin LaCrosse got on the scoreboard first with a pair of free throws but
Eric Rowland hit a three pointer for the Marlins to give them a slim 3-2 lead. The Eagles went on a 12-3 run over the next six minutes taking a 14-6 lead over the Marlins. VWU pulled within four points, 16-12, after hitting a pair of three point shots, both from
Jordan Crump, but UWL went up by eight again after a dunk form Ethan Anderson. Virginia Wesleyan cut the Wisconsin LaCrosse lead to three points, 24-21, following a jumper from Crump with seven to play in the first half. UWL opened their lead back up to seven points, 28-21, ad held on to lead by six, 34-28, heading into the halftime break.
The Marlins pulled within four, 36-32, three minutes after the action resumed but the Eagles took off on a 16-3 run to lead by 17 points, 52-35, as the clock ticked under 12 minutes to play. Virginia Wesleyan finally cut the Wisconsin lead to single digits, 60-52, on a layup by
Tim Fisher with under two minutes to play. UWL closed out the game on a 5-2 run to win 65-54.

The Marlins were led by
Jordan Crump with 18 points with 12 coming from four three-point shots.
Tim Fisher tallied 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds
EAGLES LEADERS
The Eagles were led by Ethan Anderson with 19 points while Wyatt Cook and Austin Westra both added 12 points a piece.
