SALISBURY, Maryland - The Virginia Wesleyan University women's cross country team finished ninth as a whole with 221 points at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD.
Haley Witt led the Marlins with a 26th place finish.

Haley Witt led the Marlins with a 26th place finish running a time of 25:20.10.
Emily Petsko finished 41st with a time of 26:21.30, while
Marranda Hansford placed 64th with a time of 30:24.60.
Jessica Wilson and
Holly Hatter rounded out the Marlins team with finishes of 68th and 74th respectively.
Salisbury led all teams with 32 points to claim first with Stevenson and Mansfield tied for second with 32 points. Virginia Wesleyan, who finished ninth with 221 points, came in ahead of Marymount (237) and Gallaudet (316).

The Marlins return to the course again on October 15th, when they travel to Salem, VA., to compete at the Maroon/Highlander Invitational hosted by Roanoke College and Radford University.
