FIRST HALF
- The teams battled back and forth through the first half with neither team finding the back of the net despite eight shot attempts for the Marlins and seven for the WildCats.
SECOND HALF
- Randolph held possession of the ball slightly more than Virginia Wesleyan taking nine shots in the second half while VWU took seven, but neither team was successful in finding the back of the net forcing the teams into overtime.
OVERTIME
- The teams went through the first overtime period scoreless with VWU holding the advantage in shots three to one.
- Randolph played aggressively in the second OT period getting of five shots to VWU's three, but at the end of 110 minutes neither team found a score resulting in a draw.
KEY STATS
- Nathan Mitchell led the team with five shots while Alex Moody and Noah McBride each tallied four.
- Griffin Potter played all 110 minutes in net earning the tie (T: 6-1-2) giving up no goals and making nine saves.
