Virginia Beach, VA - The Virginia Wesleyan University men's soccer team fell 2-1 Mary Baldwin Saturday afternoon at Birdsong Field.

Virginia Wesleyan scored first as Collin Innes put one in from Matt Campbell at 16:38 mark. Mary Baldwin answered in the 37th minute to send the game into half-time break tied at 1-1.. A goal by the Fighting Squirrels near the 50th minute mark was the difference maker as the Marlins could not answer back. 

Griffin Putter got the call between the pipes, stopping 4 of Mary Baldwin's attempts. 

Men's soccer returns to action on Wednesday as the team travels to Rocky Mount, NC to take on  N.C. Wesleyan.
