Volleyball Picks Up Second-Straight ODAC Sweep

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Virginia Wesleyan University volleyball team cruised to its second-straight 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-19) victory Friday night as the team blanked Randolph on the road. With the win, the Marlins improve to 11-3 on the season and move to 3-0 in conference play. Randolph slides to 5-5 on the season (1-2 ODAC).

Greta Coss was the primary offensive threat for the Marlins on the evening as she racked up a team-high seven kills on the evening. She was aided by Elizabeth Britton who added five kills as well as Sydney Collins and Kathryn Yeager who each had four. 

Defensively, Amber Matalus dominated from the middle as she registered a pair of solo blocks to go with two block assists.

Volleyball returns to action again at 11 a.m. on Saturday as the team takes on Shenandoah in Winchester, Va. The squad will then square off against Alvernia in Winchester right afterwards.
