Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Josh Kemp scored his fourth goal of the season, off an assist from Isaac Arrington, but it was too little too late for the Virginia Wesleyan College men's soccer team on Saturday.
Kemp (Frisco, Texas/Addison Trinity Christian) scored in the 66th minute off the Arrington (DeSoto, Texas/Midlothian) feed, but it was only a dent in a lead by the host WildCats of Randolph College. Randolph went on to remain undefeated, posting a 4-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory on the 'Cats' field.
Randolph (7-0-1, 2-0) took the lead in the ninth minute when Corey Sindle (Gloucester/Gloucester) scored on a long shot from the left. He tallied again close into the left, winning the ball in a battle in the 33rd minute. The WildCats scored again in the 52nd minute on a shot by John Adams (Lynchburg/E.C. Glass), and opened up a 4-0 lead on a free kick by Jacob Lusczek (Fredericksburg/Chancellor) in the 62nd minute.
Randolph finished with a 17-13 advantage in shots and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
