Ten Marlins Earn All-ODAC Honors; Elliott, Tucker, Hearl, Pollack Headline Major Awards

The postseason accolades continue to roll in for the unbeaten Virginia Wesleyan softball program as ten Marlins earned All-ODAC recognition, while four major conference awards highlighted a historic 2026 campaign for the Marlins.

Head coach Brandon Elliott was named the ODAC Coach of the Year after guiding Virginia Wesleyan to a perfect 43-0 regular season record and a dominant 20-0 mark in conference play. The Marlins have overwhelmed opponents throughout the season, outscoring teams 430-37 while posting a remarkable .412 team batting average and a 0.63 team ERA.

Sophomore standout Morgan Tucker earned ODAC Player of the Year honors following one of the most dominant offensive seasons in program history. Tucker led the ODAC with a staggering .517 batting average while totaling 60 hits, 56 runs scored, 11 home runs, and 74 RBI. She also posted a .974 slugging percentage and .592 on-base percentage while striking out just four times all season.

In the circle, sophomore ace Hannah Hearl was named ODAC Pitcher of the Year after an untouchable season. Hearl finished the regular season 22-0 with a 0.57 ERA across 111 innings pitched. She allowed opponents to hit just .104 against her while piling up 163 strikeouts and tossing five shutouts.

Senior first baseman Alison Pollack rounded out the major honors as the ODAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Pollack excelled both academically and athletically, batting .398 with 41 hits, seven doubles, five home runs, and 34 RBI while posting a .631 slugging percentage.

Virginia Wesleyan placed ten student-athletes on the All-ODAC teams, including nine first-team selections.

On the All-ODAC First Team was senior pitcher Emma Adams, who turned in a stellar season in the circle. Adams went 20-0 with a 0.43 ERA and 81 strikeouts across 98 innings pitched while helping anchor the nation's most dominant pitching staff.

Senior catcher Olivia Knight earned first-team honors after batting .381 with 43 hits, eight doubles, three home runs, and 32 RBI. Knight also provided veteran leadership behind the plate for the Marlins pitching staff.

Sophomore second baseman Samantha Deitsch received first-team recognition after hitting .469 with 61 hits, 49 runs scored, 13 doubles, five triples, and 45 RBI. Deitsch also swiped 25 bases while serving as one of the catalysts atop the Marlins lineup.

Senior outfielder Sarah Prosser secured first-team honors for the second consecutive season. Prosser hit .426 with 46 hits, 41 runs scored, and 20 stolen bases while posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the outfield.

Junior designated player Taylor Mcqueen earned first-team honors after batting .500 with 58 hits, 45 runs scored, eight home runs, and 58 RBI. Mcqueen also compiled a .810 slugging percentage and struck out only twice all season.

Senior utility player Laci Campbell collected first-team recognition for the second straight year after another dynamic all-around campaign. Campbell batted .404 with 61 runs scored, 46 hits, 34 RBI, and a team-high 49 stolen bases while contributing defensively all over the field.

Senior shortstop Karley Beltran represented the Marlins on the All-ODAC Second Team. Beltran hit .385 with 25 hits, 23 runs scored, and 16 RBI while providing steady defense in the middle infield.
