Breana Brooks of the Virginia Wesleyan University women's volleyball team was named ODAC Defensive Player of the Week. 

She helped the Marlins go 4-0 in the opening weekend. She led the team in blocks with 16 total blocks, averaging 1.33 blocks per set, posting seven solo blocks and nine block assists. She tallied 23 kills, with a .388 hitting percentage, and added seven digs. 

She is second in the ODAC in total blocks, first in solo blocks, and fourth in hitting percentage.
