Men's Track and Field Competes at New Captains Classic

Marcus Rustin claimed first place in the high jump with a jump of 1.91m.

Jordan Fielder won the triple jump with a leap of 13.72m. Da'Quan Smith came in fourth with 12.69m, and Jacob Little finished ninth at 11.45m.

Jordan Hall led the way in the 100m with a fourth place finish, clocking in at 11.03 seconds. Solomon Smith finished 31st with a time of 11.84, followed closely by Jacob Little in 32nd at 11.89. Tristan Mingee rounded out the group in 37th place at 12.11.

Solomon Smith ran 24.62 to place 29th in the 200m dash, just ahead of Jacob Little who was 31st with a 24.66.

Aaron Raynor finished 12th in the 400m run with a time of 51.66, and ran 58.58 in the 400 hurdles to place fourth overall.

Ryan Koval placed 22nd in the 800m at 2:07.23. Matthew Hodge was 24th at 2:08.89, followed by Josiah Palma in 27th at 2:10.42. Jerry Watson came in 30th with a time of 2:18.93. Casey Black did not start.

Opeyemi Kareem-Ojo placed 12th in the discus with a throw of 31.33m. Malik Williams came in 16th at 24.40m, and in the hammer throw Opeyemi Kareem-Ojo placed 12th in the hammer throw with a throw of 30.02m, while Malik Williams finished 14th at 25.38m.

In the Javelin, Opeyemi Kareem-Ojo threw 32.00m to place 6th. Malik Williams followed in 9th at 26.30m.

Da'Quan Smith placed seventh in the long jump with a 6.15m jump. Jacob Little jumped 5.67m for 13th, Jordan Hall 5.48m for 14th, and Jahki Emmons-Mayo 5.39m for 15th.

Opeyemi Kareem-Ojo threw 9.81m in the shot put for 14th, and Malik Williams threw 9.22m to place 16th.

The team of Quincy Dunn, Jordan Hall, Aaron Raynor, and Da'Quan Smith placed fifth with a time of 42.71. The B team of Tristan Mingee, Jacob Little, Solomon Smith, and Jahki Emmons-Mayo took sixth at 46.42.

Men's Decathlon:

Men's Decathlon 400m

Jasha Brewington continued his strong meet with a first place time of 51.06 good for 766 points. Fisher Stone placed eighth with 59.07, earning 445 points.

Men's Decathlon 100m

Jasha Brewington secured first place with a time of 11.46, earning 761 points. Fisher Stone placed eighth at 12.64, adding 531 points.

Men's Decathlon 110m Hurdles

Jasha Brewington again took first with 15.07 seconds, collecting 841 points. Fisher Stone came in fifth with a 19.00 finish and 432 points.

Men's Decathlon Discus Throw

Fisher Stone placed second with a 28.62m toss, scoring 437 points. Jasha Brewington followed in third with 27.67m for 419 points.

Men's Decathlon 1500m

Jasha Brewington took third with a time of 4:59.99, scoring 560 points. Fisher Stone placed seventh in 5:14.05, earning 482 points.

Men's Decathlon High Jump

Jasha Brewington placed fourth at 1.73m for 569 points, and Fisher Stone was sixth with 1.67m for 520 points.

Men's Decathlon Shot Put

Jasha Brewington took second with a throw of 10.86m, scoring 537 points. Fisher Stone was sixth at 9.19m for 437 points.

Men's Decathlon Long Jump

Jasha Brewington jumped 5.97m to place third and earn 580 points. Fisher Stone followed in sixth at 5.49m for 479 points.

Men's Decathlon Pole Vault

Fisher Stone placed first with a vault of 3.33m, good for 439 points. Jasha Brewington was seventh at 2.33m, earning 206 points.

Men's Decathlon Javelin Throw

Jasha Brewington placed seventh at 27.92m for 270 points, with Fisher Stone in eighth at 24.48m and 222 points.
