The Virginia Wesleyan University men's track and field team competed at the JMU Invite.
The men's team had several strong performances this week.
In the 110m hurdles, freshman
Jasha Brewington did not start his race.
In the 200m, junior
Jordan Hall finished 22nd with a time of 23.06 seconds.
Freshman
Casey Black competed in both the 800m and the 1500m. He placed 30th in the 800m with a personal record of 2:04.33. He finished 38th in the 1500m with a time of 4:32.81.
Senior
Jalen Davis had a busy day in the field events. He placed 9th in the discus throw with a mark of 40.85 meters. He also finished 11th in the hammer throw with a distance of 43.25 meters and placed 14th in the shot put with a throw of 12.55 meters.
In the high jump, freshman Marcus Rustin finished 8th with a jump of 1.85 meters.
The long jump saw strong performances from three athletes. Junior
Jordan Hall finished 6th with a jump of 6.56 meters. Sophomore
Quincy Dunn was close behind in 7th place at 6.54 meters. Da'Quan Smith placed 11th with a jump of 6.01 meters.
In the triple jump,
Quincy Dunn earned 2nd place with a mark of 14.20 meters. Sophomore
Jordan Fielder placed 4th with a jump of 13.90 meters.
