Women's Track and Field Place Sixth at ODAC Championship Meet

The Virginia Wesleyan University women's track and field team came in sixth with a total of 38.75 points. 

Kennedy Chapman became the 2025 ODAC Champion in the long jump with a personal best of 5.41 meters. Lyric Hoggard was 14th in the long jump with a mark of 4.75 meters. 

Daryl Tucker was fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.96 meters. Denise Kamgaing was ninth with a mark of 14.00 meters, and Mackenzie Swanson was 18th with a mark of 11.36 meters. 

Norah Ciano came in second and tied her personal best of 1.61 meters and teammate Maria Plummer was seventh and hit a personal best of 1.43 meters. 

Ella Clingenpeel was fourth in the 800m with a time of 2:23.65 and Salya Brown was 11th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:29.49, and Abby Peck was 21st with a time of 2:39.45.

Mackenzie Swanson was fifth in the shot put with a throw of 11.58 meters, Denise Kamgaing was ninth with a mark of 10.72 meters, Daryl Tucker was 14th with a throw of 10.43 meters, and Zantia Durand was 19th with a mark of 9.54 meters. 

Ashley Dickerson hit a personal best in the 60 hurdles with a time of 12.15. 

The Distance Medley Relay composed of Abigail Peck, Norah Ciano, Ella Clingenpeel, and Salya Brown finished fifth with a time of 13:15.57. 

Julia Hathaway came in ninth in the 60m prelims with a time of 8.08 and Lyric Hoggard was 11th with a time of 8.13. Hathaway was 11th in the 400 meter run with a time of 1:02.22.

Kennedy Chapman was 11th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.80. 

Salya Brown was 13th in the mile run with a time of 5:31.90 and Abby Peck was 18th with a time of 5:37.89.
