The Virginia Wesleyan Men's soccer team (3-1) fell short in a competitive match up against Concordia University (TX) losing 1-0.
For the first half both teams were in a deadlock. It was even on shots with each side having six a piece. But the Marlins had the edge, forcing four saves while the Tornadoes forced none. Until the Tornadoes broke the deadlock with a goal in the 29th minute.
From the moment the second half kicked off, the Marlins poured on the pressure. They totaled eight shots on goal with
Zach Bittler and
Mason Wakefield both having three a piece. Unfortunately, it was not enough to level the game before it ended.
Up next, the Marlins face Regent University on Tuesday, September 10th at 7 PM.
