The Virginia Wesleyan University men's soccer team (5-1-2) tied NC Wesleyan 1-1.
The game opened up fast, as the Bishops scored a goal in the first five minutes. However, at the 19:44 mark, an NC Wesleyan player received a red card to put the Bishops down to ten men.
The Marlins fought hard but were unable to score in the first half.
In the second half, the Marlins had six corners and in the 82nd minute finally found the back of the net as
Daniel Otlowski scored to tie the game at 1-1. Then in the 84th minute,
Zach Bittler received a red card that put each team down to ten players. The game ended tied at 1-1 in a defensive battle.
