VWU Falls to ODAC Opponent Lynchburg

The Virginia Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team (5-11, 3-6) was defeated by The University of Lynchburg 18-6. 

Helen Kennedy-Butler led the team with three goals, six shots, and two draw controls, Madison Pfister recorded two goals, two caused turnovers, and seven draw controls, and Michaela Elston had one goal, one assist, and four draw controls.

Brittneyann Hoover started in net and recorded the loss, allowing 14 goals, and making nine saves over 45 minutes of play.

The Hornets kicked off the game outsourcing the Marlins 5-0 in the first quarter.

In quarter two Madison Pfister scored a goal and was assisted by Michaela Elston. Two minutes later Pfister scored another goal and was assisted by Daphne Myers. To end the quarter Helen Kennedy-Butler scored a goal as the Hornets outscored the Marlins 5-3.

In the third quarter, Helen Kennedy-Butler scored a goal that was assisted by Gianna Delevan to bring the score to 14-4. The Hornets held a 15-4 lead heading into the final frame. 

In the fourth quarter, Helen Kennedy-Butler and Michaela Elston each scored one goal for the Marlins to end the game with a score of 18-6.
