Micah Fox was 0-for-2, scored one run, and recorded two RBI, and
Keegan Megaro was 1-for-2 and scored two runs for the Marlins.
Sean Keener started for the Marlins and pitched 2.2 innings, allowed three runs on six hits, and had one strikeout.

Virginia Wesleyan seized the lead in the second inning when Sylvester's sacrifice fly brought in
Thomas Crandall, putting them up 3-2. NCWU fought back in the third and fourth innings, reclaiming the lead with RBI hits from A. Moskal and J. Quintana.
The game remained close until the sixth inning when NCWU extended their lead with timely hits, putting them ahead 8-3. However, VWU staged a remarkable comeback in the eighth inning, scoring six runs fueled by hits from
Nick Sylvester,
Chris Mitchell Jr., and a wild pitch, propelling them to a thrilling 11-9 victory.
In the end, it was the Marlins who emerged victorious, with
