The Virginia Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team (2-3) was defeated by Methodist 14-5 in non-conference action.

Helen Kennedy-Butler led the Marlins with two goals on four shots, one ground ball, and caused one turnover, Breanna Gable had two goals on two shots, and Gianna Delevan and Daphne Myers tallied two assists in the game. 

In the first quarter, the Marlins were outscored 3-1, as Helen Kennedy-Butler scored an unassisted goal for the Marlins with a man advantage. 

Methodist outscored VWU 3-1 in the second quarter, as Kennedy-Butler scored her second goal of the game with an assist from Dianna Delevan with a man advantage. 

Breanna Gable scored with an assist from Daphne Myers to bring the score to 8-3 in the third quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Virginia Wesleyan was outscored 5-2. Gable scored the first goal in the fourth quarter with an assist from Delevan, and five minutes later Madison Pfister scored a goal with a nice feed from Daphne Myers.
