Shaunice Rone scored a solo goal to bring the score to 5-1 heading into the second quarter.

King's College scored at the start of the third quarter to cut the lead to 5-3. Virginia Wesleyan stepped up the offense as

The Monarchs put up a fight and scored two goals to start the fourth quarter cutting the lead to 8-6. Maya Parry scored off a nice feed from Elston to extend the Marlins lead to 9-6. King's College scored at the 8:11 mark in the fourth the bring the score to 9-7, but the Marlins responded with an unassisted man-up goal from Pfister to lead 10-7. King's College scored a man-up goal to cut the lead to 10-8 at the 1:32 mark, but the Marlins defense held off the Monarch's late surge to seal the 10-8 win over King's College.
